Hemp is scientifically known as cannabis sativa L, just like it’s cousin marijuana. Hemp and Marijuana have reverse compounds, with hemp containing high levels of cannabidniol (CBD) and trace levels of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Hemp is legal through the Federal Government under the 2018 Farm Bill, subtitle G, Section 297. Hemp is legal through the North Carolina Farm Bill of 2014, Article 50E, General Statute 106-568.50. As required by law, hemp is considered as less than .3 % delta 9 THC.
