What does the milligram on my bottle mean?
Today we would like to take a minute to go over what exactly the milligram on your bottle of full spectrum hemp oil actually means. This is always a bit confusing for new CBD users. Hopefully we can clarify things in this area for you.
As you all know, there are a number of different milligrams when you are shopping for a CBD oil. Most commonly you see bottles ranging from 300 to 1500mg (we carry up to 3000mg at this time). Many people often believe that their 1000mg bottle means they are getting a dosage of 1000mg each time they take their oil. This is incorrect. The milligram you see printed on the label of your bottle is the total milligram for that bottle, not the dosage milligram.
When hemp is extracted it forms into what is known as crude. Crude is then measured out into each bottle, meaning you are getting 1000mg of the hemp crude, which is then mixed with a carrier such as MCT or flaxseed oil for example. That is why it is extremely important to make sure you are getting a "CBD" oil in which the crude is highly concentrated in CBD.
If you take a 1000mg bottle with 30mL of oil the dosage will depend on the amount taken. Meaning when you take a full dropper of a 1000mg bottle you are getting 33.33mg per 1mL dropper. We recommend our customers to take half of a dropper twice a day. This would mean getting 16.67mg of hemp crude per dose.
We hope this helps to clarify a little better for ya'll! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Hope to see you soon.
Have a hippie day!
